WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Three people from the DMV were arrested on Wednesday for conspiring to traffic guns out of Virginia.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia said that 31-year-old Moniqua Jefferson and 28-year-old Valentino Hall of Richmond, Va., as well as 32-year-old Derrick Boyd Jr. of Capitol Heights, Md., were arrested at their homes as part of the Make D.C. Safe Again initiative.
Prosecutors said that starting as early as Sept. 2022 until Sept. 2024, Jefferson and Hall would find customers who were prohibited from owning a gun, purchase a firearm in the Richmond area and then resell or transfer the guns to other individuals…
