RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) — As the weekend wraps up, shoppers are gearing up for the upcoming tax-free weekend, which begins this Friday at midnight.
The event allows consumers to save 5.3% on school supplies priced under $20, as well as clothes and shoes under $100.
Jonathan Shepard, a father of four school-aged children, plans to take advantage of the deals. “Any bit that we can save to get these four dressed up, back into school – get them their school supplies, that’s what we do,” said Shepard.
