Lynchburg teen charged with reckless driving after deadly crash in Amelia

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead after state police say a Lynchburg teenager ran a stop sign and crashed into another car in Amelia County.

The crash took place at about 6:55 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, at the intersection of Five Forks and Military roads, according to Virginia State Police.

An unidentified 17-year-old was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado east on Five Forks Road. According to state police, they failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a 2018 Honda Accord moving north on Military Road. As a result of the impact, the Silverado flipped multiple times…
