The Smoky Mug had been in its original building on Brookland Park Boulevard for nearly five years. Earlier this month, the restaurant moved a block away into a much larger space at 2930 North Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23222.

The 3,000-square-foot space in the former bank building on the southwest corner of North Avenue and Brookland Park Boulevard has been converted into The Smoky Mug. It has much more space for co-owners Dan Lee and Ryan Maynes, as well as eight to 10 staff members.…
