Governor Youngkin announces Google to invest $9 billion in Virginia

Google says it will invest an additional $9 billion in Virginia through the end of 2026.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin made the announcement at Brightpoint Community College on August 27. The investment to be seen throughout the Commonwealth is anchored by a new Chesterfield County data center campus at Brightpoint Community College.

The Google funds will be focused on cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, with the development of a new data center in Chesterfield County.
