Ashley Redwood made the decision to bet on herself in 2018, leaving behind a job in law enforcement to pursue her passion for movement. Little did she know, thousands of people were waiting on her to create Trap Cardio — a culturally responsive dance fitness program that promotes confidence, leadership and total wellness.
Trap Cardio, which hosts classes out of the Blackbird Collective space on West Leigh Street in Richmond’s Carver neighborhood, has also become known for its mission of “bringing wellness to every hood.”
