HANOVER, Va. — One person is dead after a shooting and subsequent crash on I-295 in Hanover on Tuesday, according to Virginia State Police.
Police responded to I-295 South near Pole Green Road around 6:30 p.m. According to VSP, the driver of a pickup truck was shot at by someone in an unknown vehicle. The pickup truck ran off the road, crashed, and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
