‘It was not a prank’: N-word written on car, other damage during ‘senior prank’ in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two Chesterfield County families are pressing charges after they say a senior prank during “prank week” turned into vandalism and a hate crime.

Shannon Murray’s son, a senior at Midlothian High School, said the family was awakened around 1:30 a.m. on Monday to “smashing and loud noises.”

“It was very loud,” Murray said. “A very terrorizing moment for us all.”…
