Virginia Crime Sweep Nets 39 Guns, 300 Pounds of Narcotics in One Week

Richmond, VA – Virginia State Police reported major results from ongoing crime suppression operations across the Commonwealth between September 24 and September 30, 2025.

According to the agency, officers recovered 39 firearms valued at $20,000, seized more than 304 pounds of narcotics worth an estimated $1.8 million in denied revenue, and confiscated $6,070 in U.S. currency. The narcotics seizures included cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, fentanyl, and THC products.

Investigators also pursued cases of human trafficking, receiving 19 new tips during the week. Authorities said 237 cases remain under investigation, with 3,308 investigative activities conducted to date. In addition, 72 victims have been identified and offered services as part of the initiative…
