RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) — Sheriffs and Commonwealth’s attorneys gathered in Richmond on Thursday to call for Democratic attorney general candidate Jay Jones to withdraw from the race, citing alleged comments about law enforcement and recent leaked text messages.
Chesterfield County Sheriff Karl Leonard led the criticism, referencing a report of a 2020 conversation between then-Delegate Jones and Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner.
