Richmond, VA – Crime Sweep: Recover 23 Guns, $176K Cash, and 185 Pounds of Drugs in Weeklong Operation

Richmond, VA – Virginia State Police reported major results from a weeklong, statewide crime suppression operation conducted October 1–7, 2025. Working with federal and local partners, troopers seized narcotics, firearms, and cash while investigating multiple criminal networks across the Commonwealth.

According to Virginia State Police, the coordinated effort resulted in the recovery of 23 firearms valued at $13,000 and the seizure of approximately 185 pounds of narcotics and more than 15,000 controlled substance pills. Officials estimate the denied drug revenue totals over $1.67 million.

Recovered drugs included 12.7 pounds of cocaine, 8.2 pounds of methamphetamine, 163.2 pounds of marijuana, 4.9 pounds of heroin, and 2.2 ounces of fentanyl. Officers also confiscated 15,000 fentanyl pills, THC products, and $176,252 in U.S. currency…
