Gusty breezes as a cold front moves east, cooler to begin the week

RICHMOND, Va. — A cold front moving through the region brought showers and gusty winds to this evening. Our top wind gust at Richmond International Airport was 53 mph. The rain should move out of most of the area shortly by 2 A.M., and skies will clear by morning. Lows will be in the upper 40s and low 50s. Some coastal flooding is possible in the Northern Neck through tonight.

Monday will be sunny, cooler and still breezy at times. Highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70. Lows Monday night will range from the mid 30s northwest to the mid 40s southeast.

Tuesday will be sunny and warmer with highs in the low to mid 70s. Another cold front will pass through the region Tuesday night, but any chance of rain will likely be low and confined to northern Virginia…
