HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Hopewell is launching a thorough review of all of its roadways in an effort to make streets both smoother and safer.
During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Hopewell City Council approved a resolution greenlighting a citywide road and asphalt assessment.
All city streets will be evaluated using a “Pavement Condition Index (PCI)” and scored on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 being the poorest pavement condition and 100 being the best. Pavement distress like cracking, rutting and potholes will all be documented…
