As the federal government shutdown continues into November 2025, Richmond, Virginia, and its regional partners are providing support to residents. On Friday, November 7, Mayor Danny Avula and representatives from local agencies outlined relief efforts in the city and nearby counties.
In the past week, Richmond, Chesterfield, and Henrico counties contributed $300,000 to Feed More, Central Virginia’s regional food bank. Feed More works with over 300 food pantries to help families affected by the shutdown.
