Richmond Man Charged with Armed Robbery in Northwest D.C.; Secret Service and National Guard Assist in Arrest

A man was arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that took place in the heart of Northwest D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Brandon Stallworth from Richmond, Virginia, is accused of an armed robbery that unfolded in the lobby of an apartment building located at the 800 block of 10th Street, NW, on the afternoon of November 9, 2025.

The MPD’s report detailed that at roughly 3:46 p.m. on Sunday, the alleged assailant approached a victim, brandished a firearm, and proceeded to seize the victim’s possessions. In an effort to seek help, the victim followed the perpetrator outside and managed to catch the attention of nearby United States Secret Service Officers. With the assistance of members of the National Guard, the suspect was detained, and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
