RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After two decades serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Tex Hill found a new way to serve — not on the battlefield, but behind the grill. The founder of Dress Blue BBQ in Richmond says service doesn’t end when you take off the uniform.
“A Marine is a Marine is a Marine,” Hill said. “We’ll always do more with less. We’ll always get the job done — no matter what, no matter what generation.”
Hill’s military career began in 2005, taking him across the globe — from embassy security posts in India, Brazil and Uganda, to overseeing air defense and surveillance operations in Afghanistan. His final station brought him to Richmond, where his next chapter began…
