I wonder if the jolly man in the red suit will make special appearances in Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Richmond, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Prince George, Chester, Amelia, Sutherland and Williamsburg. Three of them are boat parades. The Grinch, in all his furriness, will surely try to steal the show!

December 2

Colonial Heights Christmas Parade

The 72nd Annual Colonial Heights Christmas Parade is Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. on the Boulevard. The nighttime parade is managed by the city of Colonial Heights. The 2025 parade theme is “A Hollywood Christmas.”

December 6

Prince George Christmas Parade

Prince George Parks and Recreation will host Prince George County’s annual Christmas Parade on Dec. 6. Themed “A Timeless Christmas Through the Ages,” it begins at 3 p.m. at the 6600 block of Courthouse Road.

Petersburg Christmas Parade

The Petersburg Holiday Parade and Grand Tree Illumination is Dec. 6 from 3-7 p.m. The parade route goes from Sycamore Street at the old hospital site to Union Train Station in Old Towne. The grand marshal this year is Ramir Parker, a young hero being honored for his quick thinking and selfless bravery that saved his grandmother and two brothers from a burning home…
