On November 19, 2025, Mayor Danny Avula spoke to the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) Board of Commissioners. He presented a new plan for public housing redevelopment in Richmond. Avula said the city is responsible for making sure all residents have safe, high-quality, and code-compliant homes in strong neighborhoods.
Mayor Avula proposed a plan that includes input from residents, the City, RRHA, Gilpin residents, and community partners. He also introduced a People Plan.
