Most of Virginia is expected to be showered with rain for the first half of this week, as low pressure off the Carolina coast pushes inland from later Monday through Wednesday. This will bring a prolonged period of wet weather to the state.
Heavy rain is forecast for Tuesday across Richmond, Virginia, with the heaviest being to the south and east of the city. This will be followed by showers on Wednesday as well.
The new weather system is expected to bring high winds and rain to the state, with drier weather forecasted to continue toward the end of the week.
