A woman was found dead and a man severely injured after police were called to do a welfare check at an apartment in eastern Petersburg over the weekend.
It happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Petersburg East Apartments on Navajo Court, according to a Petersburg Police Facebook post. When officers responding to the welfare check entered the apartment, they found the victims in separate rooms.
