Goochland man sentenced for providing cocaine, fentanyl that killed friend

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Goochland County man will serve multiple years in prison after he gave a friend cocaine and fentanyl, which killed him.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, Don Carnell Batchelor, Jr. of Goochland was sentenced to five years in prison for distribution of cocaine and fentanyl, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

The incident took place on Aug. 20, 2021 in the city of Richmond. On that date, a friend of Batchelor’s — identified as “SN” within court documents — asked Batchelor to get him cocaine and fentanyl…
