Lanes reopen after 10-vehicle crash on I-95 South in downtown Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Four people were hurt after 10 vehicles were involved in multiple crashes that closed Interstate 95 south in Virginia as snow fell around 9:15 Friday morning, according to Virginia State Police. All the crashes happened near the Broad Street exit 74C.

“The initial crash occurred when a silver sedan lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The other remaining crashes occurred as a result of this initial crash being in the roadway. Including a tractor-trailer that has jack-knifed across all lanes of travel,” a Virginia State Police spokesperson said.

Lanes reopened before noon Friday.

The 4 people taken to the hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said…
