VCU begins home stand with big win over Samford

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — VCU blew past Samford with a huge second-half surge, rolling to an 83–57 win Sunday night at the Siegel Center.

Sophomore guard Terrence Hill Jr. led the way with a career-high 22 points, including five 3-pointers. VCU also stacked up three double-doubles: Jadrian Tracey posted 10 points and a career-best 13 rebounds, Barry Evans added 10 points, 10 rebounds and a team-high six assists, and Keyshawn Mitchell delivered 10 points and 11 boards off the bench.

VCU’s bench delivered a massive edge, outscoring Samford’s reserves 50–9, and the Rams dominated the boards 52–34, piling up 17 offensive rebounds and 16 second-chance points…
