150 LEGO hearts created at Build to Give holiday campaign in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Community members and LEGO enthusiasts in the area had the chance to celebrate the holiday joy on Saturday, one block at a time.

Hosted by the LEGO Group, the Build to Give holiday campaign took place on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Children’s Museum of Richmond.

The community-building event welcomed attendees, young and old, to build and photograph their LEGO brick creations. The initiative looks to spread holiday joy and bring the power of play to children in hospitals, care homes and vulnerable communities around the world, organizers said.

“(LEGO and the Children’s Museum of Richmond) are both organizations that align about play. Everybody learns through play. Children of all ages can learn something new through the power of play,” said executive director Danielle Rippleton with the museum…
