Spanberger talks future of cannabis in the Commonwealth

RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – Lawmakers will bring all types of proposals to Richmond for the 2026 Legislative Session and one proposal expected to make its way through the General Assembly would focus on the future of marijuana.

Right now, it is legal for people 21 and older to have marijuana. But, currently there is no legal way to buy it unless you qualify for medical use.
