RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — Democratic Virginia Attorney General nominee Jay Jones was cleared in an investigation concerning the community service he documented in connection to his 2022 reckless driving conviction.
New Kent Circuit Court Judge Elliot Bondurant appointed Donald Caldwell, commonwealth’s attorney for Roanoke, in October to investigate a “currently pending” reckless driving case. In a three-page news release Monday, Caldwell shared his decision to close out the case. He said the records from his previous court dates did not specify the need for any further action.
