RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The city of Richmond has appointed a woman with more than 20 years of human resources (HR) leadership experience as its new director of HR.
On Monday, Jan. 5, the city announced that Trinija Martin has been chosen as the city’s new director of HR after most recently serving as deputy director of HR for Wake County, leading enterprise-wide people strategies.
“I believe deeply in the preeminence of character,” Martin said in a release. “Titles are rented, but character is owned. I am honored to serve the City of Richmond and look forward to partnering with leadership and employees to build a strong, equitable, and high-performing organization grounded in trust, accountability, and service to our community.”
