Rain, wintry mix in Central Virginia along with coldest air in weeks

RICHMOND, Va. — Skies will be mostly cloudy today with highs ranging from the upper 40s to the mid 50s. Some showers moving up from North Carolina will track through the region this afternoon, with higher chances for rain south and southeast of Richmond.

A cold front will pass tonight, and bring the chance of a few showers or flurries. The best chance for precipitation will be north of I-64. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s.

Thursday will be much colder with temperatures holding in the 30s all day. Some flurries are possible in the morning. Breezy conditions will keep wind chills in the teens early, and the 20s the rest of the day…
