New veteran campus aims to house homeless veterans and prioritize pedestrian safety

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Liberation Veteran Services (LVS) is prioritizing pedestrian safety by introducing the first residents of Veterans Village to a newly-installed ADA compliant pedestrian walkway.

The village is located on Midlothian Turnpike and is a 50-unit micro community for veterans transitioning out of homelessness.

Veterans will also have the ability to live at this location for free for an average of six to eight months before moving into permanent housing, according to the press release…
