RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Many Central Virginia schools and school districts will be closed tomorrow due to wintry weather.
During the first winter storm of 2026, snowfall across Central Virginia transitioned into sleet early Sunday morning and then into freezing rain, which will last until midnight, according to our StormTracker8 team. The freezing rain is expected to stop on Monday.

- Charles City County Public Schools
- Chesterfield County Public Schools
- Colonial Heights Public Schools

- Goochland County Public Schools
- Hanover County Public Schools
- Henrico County Public Schools
- Hopewell City Public Schools
- King and Queen County Public Schools
- King William County Public Schools
- Louisa County Public Schools
