Richmond City crews aim to treat all neighborhoods by Thursday

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Richmond Public Works is working to clear city streets, but it could be a couple of days before pavement can be seen in every neighborhood.

DPW is aiming to hit all neighborhoods by Thursday. Right now, crews are relying on chemicals to melt frozen surfaces.

“We’re just working from the top down. And so we’re going to be coming through those neighborhoods beginning tonight on B shift, putting down a combination of sand and salt and with our heavier vehicles, hopefully compacting and crushing or breaking up some of that ice,” Richmond Public Works Director Bobby Vincent said…
