An investigation is underway after a toddler rescued from an icy Virginia pond on Monday later died, police said.
Henrico County Police said officers responded at around 1:40 p.m. Monday to a water rescue on the 12300 block of Shore View Drive in the Three Chopt Magisterial District in western Richmond. Officers arrived to find Henrico County Division of Fire performing CPR on the unresponsive boy after he was pulled from the nearby pond.
The toddler was transported to the hospital in “life-threatening” condition, and an adult man was treated on the scene for possible hypothermia…
