Richmond, Va. (WRIC) — Today will be sunny with highs in the upper 30s! We should get some better melting going on this afternoon.
Tonight’s lows will be near 20°. We will see increasing clouds going into tomorrow, so Tuesday will be mostly cloudy. Highs tomorrow could reach the low 40s, which would feel incredible and continue to aid in our winter storm recovery.
Tuesday night we have a shot to see some wintry mix, likely rain and snow, but chances are very slim. Accumulation is not a concern, and impacts would be very minimal. Timing would be between 8pm Tuesday and 5am Wednesday.
A weak front Wednesday will drop our temperatures slightly for the end of the week. Another front on Saturday will again take us from 40° back into the low 30s. Next week, there is a potential for a warming trend, although we very well could stay below normal for February.
The groundhog did see his shadow today, which means he’s forecasting for 6 more weeks of winter. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still hope for an early spring!…
