HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A new restaurant has opened its doors in Henrico County’s West End, bringing authentic Vietnamese flavors with French culinary techniques to the area.
d’Annam Restaurant, located at 7501 W. Broad St., officially opened on Feb. 3. According to its website, the restaurant prides itself on being the only local Vietnamese restaurant that crafts its own noodles from scratch.
Like its menu, the name “d’Annam” reflects Vietnamese cultural heritage and cuisine with French influence. “Annam” refers to an ancient name of central Vietnam during the French Indochina era, while “d’” means “of” in French.
