HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) – Virginia State Police say box truck’s hoist system damage a overpass and another car on I-95 in Henrico on Monday afternoon.
According to state police, the crash happened just before 1 p.m. on Feb. 9 I-95 south at the Dumbarton Road overpass in Henrico.
VSP’s investigation shows a 2020 Kenworth T370 was travelling southbound on I-95 when its hoist system struck the overpass.
A component of the system then fell into the right lane where it was struck by a 2015 Toyota RAV4.
The Rav4 driver was not injured.
The Kenworth driver had minor injuries and was charged with operating an over-height vehicle and an expired registration.
VDOT will need to inspect the bridge to ensure it’s safe for travel and to determine if any repairs are needed…
