HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead after a shooting late Friday night in Hopewell.
At around 11:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, police received a report of a man who had been shot and officers with the Hopewell Police Department responded to the 300 block of East Cawson Street.
Upon arrival, police found a man with injuries. He was transported to TriCities Hospital and pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity is pending notification of the family. Hopewell authorities said they believe there’s no ongoing threat to the public and that the shooting was an isolated incident…
