GRTC adjusts bus routes amid driver shortage

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – The Greater Richmond Transit Company has adjusted some of its bus routes in response to a temporary driver shortage, and riders may have already noticed the changes.

GRTC communications manager Ashley Potter said the adjustments were made to align service levels with the number of available operators.

“All it really was doing was bringing our service levels to reflect the amount of operators that we currently have to run the routes so that riders are experiencing less same-day cancellations and buses that had to be taken out of service because an operator wasn’t able to continue that route,” Potter said…
