‘I’ll be using a bike:’ Iran conflict sends Virginia gas prices surging overnight

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Drivers across Virginia are paying more at the pump as the Iran conflict drives gas prices higher, with the national average jumping 11¢ and the state average rising a dime from Monday to Tuesday, according to AAA.

In the Richmond area, some drivers said they noticed the change immediately.

“In the West End, I’m seeing $3.50, almost $3.65. It’s gone up a lot just overnight,” said Ana Bravo, a driver. “I stopped it at $20. I wasn’t going to go past $20.”…
