RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The River City Half Marathon & 5K is officially underway in Richmond!
More than 3,000 runners signed up for both the half-marathon and the 5K this year. Half-marathoners started their race at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, and 5K runners were not too far behind, starting at 8:20 a.m.
As this year’s media sponsor, our 8News team is at the 8-mile mark near the intersection of Park Drive and Shirley Lane to cheer on the participants.
