Three University of Richmond students waited for their boxes of clothes, pictures, furniture and keepsakes to arrive on move-in day in January. Storage Scholars, a moving and storage company for college students, was supposed to store and deliver their items before the start of classes.
The boxes never arrived. Two weeks ago, Storage Scholars agreed to settlements with the students after their items were lost during storage, a spokesman for the company said.
One UR student, a junior returning from abroad who preferred to remain anonymous, said many of the lost items were irreplaceable letters from loved ones, family heirlooms, notebooks and photographs…
