RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – A new exhibit honoring the immigrant journey opens to the public Saturday at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture.
“We the People” explores the lives of those who have settled in Virginia over the years and their impact on the community. The exhibit is part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration.
“Our exhibit really strives to focus on people, telling the story of individuals,” said Julie Kemper, curator of exhibits at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. “Why people leave, what happens when they arrive. They need to find work. They need to find good schools for their kids. They build community.”…
