Vigil held for Stephanie Minter as family, Virginia leaders demand accountability

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — On Tuesday, former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and the family of Stephanie Minter are holding a vigil and press conference in Richmond to raise awareness about Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger’s sanctuary policies for illegal immigrants.

Minter was killed this year at a bus stop in Fairfax County. Fairfax County police charged Abdul Jalloh with second-degree murder for Minter’s death.

Jalloh has a lengthy criminal history and was repeatedly released back into the community after Fairfax County Commonwealth’s attorney Steve Descano’s office dropped charges and Sheriff Stacy Kincaid did not honor U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers…
