RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A 25-year-old man is dead after a shooting near Richmond’s Monroe Park late Friday evening.
At 11:39 p.m. on Friday, March 20, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 300 block of North Monroe Street after they heard gunshots while on patrol near the intersection of West Broad and North Monroe streets.
When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Lamar Butler of Richmond with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died due to his injuries…
