Trial date set for man accused in deadly Shockoe Bottom mass shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One of the three suspects in a tragic Shockoe Bottom mass shooting that left two people dead and several others hurt will stand trial in July.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 21, nine people were shot in the 00 block of N. 18th Street in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom. Two of those victims, 23-year-old Genesis Tamar Jones of Petersburg and 42-year-old Dominic Antoine Jackson of Henrico County, died at the scene.
