Richmond drug trafficker, ‘career offender’ gets 20-year sentence

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond drug trafficker and “career offender” will serve two decades in prison after federal officials say he was found with “numerous tablets containing methamphetamine.”

On Wednesday, April 8, 40-year-old Montrio Santos Neville was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Neville was initially arrested on Oct. 9, 2024, by officers who were searching for a person wanted out of Chesterfield County. Per court documents, Neville was with that person when officers found them in Richmond’s Gilpin Court…
