RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Eden Village of Richmond said tiny homes for the city’s most vulnerable are on the way.
The non-profit is working to build tiny home villages for the disabled and chronically homeless. The mission focuses on restoring and helping communities for those facing a public health emergency in the Greater Richmond area.
Last year, Richmond City Council approved the sale of two lots off Chamberlayne Avenue, totaling around five acres, to the nonprofit Eden Village of Richmond for $100. Eden Village founder Cathy Ritter said the space will have more than 30 tiny homes and will house the homeless and chronically ill. But there’s still more work to be done…
