APPOMATTOX, Va. (WFXR) – About 22 veterans die each day to suicide, according to Virginia nonprofit Trail to Recovery.
That’s a number the 222 for the 22 Ride honors each year as a convoy makes the 222-mile trek from Richmond to Lynchburg.
The motorcade stops at military cemeteries and monuments across Central Virginia to honor fallen service members. The event is open for veterans, supporters, Jeep owners, 4×4 drivers and anyone else who wants to be a part of the mission.
