California city records most dog attacks on postal workers in the nation

Your dog may enjoy barking at your mail carrier from inside your home, but an unrestrained dog is of much greater concern to the U.S. Postal Service.

There were more than 5,200 dog attacks among its employees last year, the USPS said Thursday. And, once again, a Southern California city landed at the top of the list with nearly six dozen reported incidents in 2025.

The state as a whole leads the nation as well, with more than 673 reported dog bites or incidents…
