San Diego, CA — July 13, 2026 — Same Same But Different Festival is bringing back one of its most distinctive experiences for 2026: Nakey Island, a private, boat-access-only escape located across the water from the main festival grounds at Lake Perris.
You ferry in from the festival dock, ride across the open water, and the island reveals itself — hidden beaches, open-air dance floors, and a world that operates on its own rules for the entire weekend.
Same Same But Different takes place September 25-27, 2026, at Lake Perris, CA. More information is available at SSBDFEST.COM.
The Crossing
Access is available through the Nakey Island Passport, which includes unlimited ferry rides to and from the island throughout the weekend so attendees can cross whenever the island is calling, day or night. Limitless Passholders are already covered, no separate passport required. Once the sun starts dipping behind the mountains, the crossing itself becomes part of the ritual: banana-boat rides skimming across the water, first sightings of the island’s silhouette, and the unmistakable feeling of leaving the main festival grounds behind.
The Music: Island-Only Sets
Nakey Island runs its own stage, and its own rules: every artist who plays the island plays only the island, these sets won’t be repeated anywhere else at SSBD. Expect a soundtrack of house, funk, and feel-good grooves curated by Almost Nakey, built for barefoot afternoons and unplanned sunrise moments…
