The Redlands City Council approved a financing plan June 16 that authorizes the issuance of up to $85 million in Certificates of Participation to help pay for a new public safety headquarters, a fire station and heating, ventilation and air conditioning improvements at the A.K. Smiley Library.
The council adopted Resolution No. 8796, which authorizes the execution and delivery of the Certificates of Participation, Series 2026, in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $85 million. The financing will help cover a portion of the costs associated with the city’s planned Safety Hall police facility, construction of a new fire station, related improvements and HVAC upgrades at the library.
